Instructions

1

Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes.

2

In a bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, paprika, and salt until evenly coated.

3

Place the shrimp in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 5-6 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the shrimp are pink and crispy.

4

While the shrimp cooks, warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for about 30 seconds.

5

Assemble the tacos: Place a few shrimp on each tortilla, then top with shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes, avocado slices, and cilantro.

6

Drizzle with sour cream or Greek yogurt and serve with lime wedges for squeezing over the tacos.

Chef's Tips

  • Fresh Shrimp: Use fresh shrimp for the best texture and flavor. If using frozen, thaw completely and pat dry before seasoning.
  • Spice Level: Adjust the chili powder or add a pinch of cayenne for extra heat.
  • Extra Crispy: For crispier shrimp, lightly spray with cooking oil before air frying.
  • Toppings: Customize with pickled onions, jalapeños, or a drizzle of hot sauce.
  • Storage: Cooked shrimp can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes.
