Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes.
In a bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, paprika, and salt until evenly coated.
Place the shrimp in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 5-6 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the shrimp are pink and crispy.
While the shrimp cooks, warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for about 30 seconds.
Assemble the tacos: Place a few shrimp on each tortilla, then top with shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes, avocado slices, and cilantro.
Drizzle with sour cream or Greek yogurt and serve with lime wedges for squeezing over the tacos.
Chef's Tips
- Fresh Shrimp: Use fresh shrimp for the best texture and flavor. If using frozen, thaw completely and pat dry before seasoning.
- Spice Level: Adjust the chili powder or add a pinch of cayenne for extra heat.
- Extra Crispy: For crispier shrimp, lightly spray with cooking oil before air frying.
- Toppings: Customize with pickled onions, jalapeños, or a drizzle of hot sauce.
- Storage: Cooked shrimp can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes.
