- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade blend)
- 8 small corn tortillas
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 diced tomato
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 lime, cut into wedges
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup salsa

Instructions
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces with a spatula.
Drain excess fat from the beef. Add taco seasoning and 1/4 cup of water. Stir well and simmer for 5 minutes until the mixture thickens.
Warm the tortillas by heating them in a dry skillet for about 30 seconds per side or wrapping them in a damp towel and microwaving for 30 seconds.
Assemble the tacos: Spoon the beef mixture onto each tortilla. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomato, onion, and cheese.
Garnish with chopped cilantro and a squeeze of lime juice. Add sour cream and salsa if desired.
Serve immediately while warm and enjoy with extra lime wedges on the side.
