Instructions
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces with a spatula.
Drain excess fat from the beef, then add the taco seasoning and 1/4 cup of water. Stir well and simmer for 5 minutes until the liquid is absorbed.
While the beef cooks, heat the tortillas. Brush each tortilla lightly with vegetable oil and warm them in a separate skillet for about 30 seconds per side until pliable.
Assemble the tacos: Spoon the seasoned beef onto each tortilla, then top with shredded lettuce, diced tomato, onion, and cheese.
Garnish with chopped cilantro and a squeeze of lime juice. Add sour cream and salsa to taste.
Serve immediately while the tortillas are still warm and crispy at the edges.

- Toppings: Customize with avocado, jalapeños, or pickled onions for extra flavor.
- Make Ahead: Prepare the beef filling in advance and reheat when ready to serve.
- Vegetarian Option: Substitute beef with black beans or seasoned tofu for a vegetarian version.
