Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
Cut the jalapenos in half lengthwise. Use a spoon to scrape out the seeds and membranes to reduce heat. Wear gloves if sensitive to spice.
In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
Fill each jalapeno half with the cheese mixture, pressing it in firmly.
Wrap each stuffed jalapeno half with a half-slice of bacon, securing it with a toothpick if necessary.
Place the poppers on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and the cheese is bubbly.
Let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm!
Chef's Tips
- Spice Level: Leave some seeds in the jalapenos for extra heat, or remove all for a milder taste.
- Cheese Variations: Try mixing in blue cheese or pepper jack for a different flavor profile.
- Air Fryer Option: Cook at 375°F for 10-12 minutes for a quicker, crispier result.
- Make Ahead: Assemble the poppers a day in advance and refrigerate until ready to bake.
- Dipping Sauce: Serve with ranch dressing, sour cream, or a spicy aioli for extra flavor.
