Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 3 minutes.
Open the biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Use a small round cutter or bottle cap to cut a hole in the center of each biscuit to form donut shapes.
Lightly brush both sides of each donut with melted butter.
Place the donuts in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they don’t touch. Air fry for 4 minutes, flip, then cook for another 4 minutes until golden brown.
In a bowl, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon. While the donuts are still warm, roll them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat evenly.
For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Dip the cooled donuts into the glaze and let them set for a few minutes before serving.
Chef's Tips
- Even Cooking: Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking.
- Extra Flavor: Add a pinch of nutmeg or cardamom to the cinnamon-sugar mix for extra warmth.
- Storage: Best enjoyed fresh, but store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
- Variations: Try dipping donuts in chocolate glaze or sprinkles for a fun twist.
- Dough Tips: If using homemade dough, let it rest for 10 minutes before shaping for easier handling.
