Instructions
Prepare the dough: Open the biscuit can and separate the dough into individual biscuits. Use a small round cutter or bottle cap to cut a hole in the center of each biscuit to form donut shapes.
Preheat the air fryer: Set the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and let it preheat for about 3 minutes.
Cook the donuts: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil. Place the donuts in the basket in a single layer, ensuring they don’t touch. Air fry for 4-5 minutes, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
Prepare the toppings: While the donuts cook, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon in a bowl for cinnamon sugar coating. In another bowl, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract for the glaze.
Coat the donuts: Brush the warm donuts with melted butter, then dip them in the cinnamon sugar mixture or drizzle with the glaze.
Serve: Let the donuts cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm for the best texture.
Chef's Tips
- Even Cooking: Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking. Cook in batches if necessary.
- Customize Toppings: Experiment with toppings like chocolate glaze, sprinkles, or crushed nuts.
- Storage: Store leftover donuts in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer for 1-2 minutes to refresh.
- Dough Variations: Use homemade dough or other pre-made dough varieties for different textures.
- Hole Usage: Don’t discard the donut holes—air fry them for mini treats!
