Instructions
Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Place the pork ham on a rack in a roasting pan, fat side up.
Score the fat in a diamond pattern with a sharp knife, about 1/4 inch deep, to help the glaze penetrate.
In a bowl, mix brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, cloves, cinnamon, black pepper, and salt to make the glaze.
Brush half of the glaze evenly over the ham, making sure it gets into the scored cuts.
Roast the ham uncovered for about 1.5 hours, basting every 30 minutes with pineapple juice to keep it moist.
After 1.5 hours, brush the remaining glaze over the ham and continue roasting for another 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C).
Remove from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
Chef's Tips
- Glaze Variations: Try adding orange zest or maple syrup for a different flavor profile.
- Crispy Skin: For extra crispiness, broil the ham for the last 5 minutes, watching carefully to avoid burning.
- Leftovers: Use leftover ham in sandwiches, soups, or omelets for delicious meals the next day.
- Basting: If the ham starts to dry out, cover loosely with foil during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- Serving Suggestion: Pair with roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
