Instructions

1

Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.

2

In a bowl, mix ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Divide into 12 equal portions and shape into small patties.

3

Cook the patties for 2-3 minutes per side, until browned and cooked through. Place a half-slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking.

4

In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and pickle relish to make the special sauce.

5

Lightly toast the slider buns on the skillet or griddle for about 30 seconds per side.

6

Assemble the sliders: Spread the special sauce on the bottom buns, add a cooked patty with cheese, top with a pickle slice, and cover with the top bun.

7

Brush the tops of the buns with melted butter for extra flavor and shine.

Chef's Tips

  • Patty Tip: Make a small indentation in the center of each patty before cooking to prevent them from puffing up.
  • Cheese Options: Try different cheeses like American, Swiss, or pepper jack for variety.
  • Bun Tip: If you prefer softer buns, skip toasting them.
  • Extra Flavor: Add caramelized onions or sautéed mushrooms for a gourmet touch.
  • Make Ahead: Prepare the patties and sauce ahead of time for quick assembly when ready to serve.
