Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until evenly combined.
Transfer the mixture into the prepared loaf pan, pressing it down evenly. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
While the meatloaf is baking, boil the sweet potato cubes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain well.
Mash the sweet potatoes with butter, milk, cinnamon, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with a generous scoop of sweet potato mash.
Chef's Tips
- Moisture Tip: Avoid overmixing the turkey mixture to keep the meatloaf tender.
- Glaze Option: Brush the top of the meatloaf with a mix of ketchup and brown sugar before baking for extra flavor.
- Make Ahead: Prepare the meatloaf mixture a day in advance and refrigerate until ready to bake.
- Leftovers: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
- Variation: Add finely chopped carrots or bell peppers to the meatloaf for extra veggies.
