Instructions
Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add diced onions and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
Add minced garlic and diced bell pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes until fragrant.
Add ground turkey to the pot. Break it up with a spoon and cook until browned, about 5-6 minutes.
Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well to coat the turkey and vegetables.
Add crushed tomatoes, chicken broth, kidney beans, and black beans. Stir to combine.
Bring the chili to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Simmer uncovered for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
Chef's Tips
- For extra flavor, brown the turkey in batches to avoid overcrowding the pot.
- Let the chili simmer longer for a thicker consistency.
- Top with shredded cheese, sour cream, or chopped cilantro for added richness.
- Freeze leftovers in airtight containers for up to 3 months.
- For a spicier kick, add diced jalapeños or a pinch of cayenne pepper.
