Instructions
Season the pork chops: Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Rub both sides with salt, black pepper, paprika, and dried thyme.
Sear the pork chops: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and sear for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
Cook the green beans: In the same skillet, add green beans and sauté for 3-4 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp. Remove and set aside.
Make the garlic butter sauce: Reduce heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Deglaze the pan: Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Simmer for 2 minutes.
Combine and serve: Return the pork chops and green beans to the skillet. Spoon the sauce over them and cook for another 2 minutes to heat through. Serve immediately.
Chef's Tips
- Resting the Meat: Let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes after cooking to retain juices.
- Thickness Matters: Use thick-cut pork chops to prevent drying out during cooking.
- Fresh Herbs: Garnish with fresh parsley or rosemary for extra flavor.
- Don’t Overcook: Use a meat thermometer to ensure pork reaches 145°F (63°C) internally.
- Variation: Add sliced mushrooms or cherry tomatoes for extra texture and flavor.
