- 4 German bratwursts or pork sausages
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp curry powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- French fries or bread rolls (for serving)

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sausages and cook, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through (about 10-12 minutes). Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, reduce heat to low. Add ketchup, curry powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, Worcestershire sauce, water, sugar, and apple cider vinegar. Stir well to combine.
Simmer the sauce for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Slice the cooked sausages into bite-sized pieces and return them to the skillet. Toss gently to coat with the curry sauce.
Serve the Currywurst hot with a side of French fries or bread rolls. Sprinkle extra curry powder on top if desired.
